The latest update, hot off the press, is that HR will happily approve a Leave Of Absence of my vacation balance plus 30 days. This gives me a grand total of 7 weeks off. Either there was some miscommunication in my asking for 5 months or I have some interesting logistics to work out. Stay tuned...
