My Challenge to You
After receiving enough "are you doing this for charity" questions and feeling thoroughly terrible that I'm not, I decided to give myself a good-conscience boost and try it out.
I'll be taking your hard earned money for various "challenges" throughout the trip and will donate them to whichever of the following charities you feel would want me to "suffer" for the most:
Sierra Club
St. Jude Children's Hospital
National Parks Conservation Association
Teach for America
Humane Society
World Bicycle Relief
I'll be providing some type of proof that I've conquered your challenge such as pictures or video. Choose a challenge in the form to the right or send me a message with a custom challenge and the rest of the details.

Question for Steph and the general public, can "emotional breakdowns" be highs and lows? What if I become so elated at times that I lose my sanity? Also, I'm on the fence about documenting my emotional breakdowns to prove they happened...
ReplyDeleteWouldn't the elated version be an "emotional breakUP?"
ReplyDeleteOops! Okay, that challenge from adventuremtngal was not meant to be "Beard." It's for each set of photos with a park related review to eploreParks.com. Durr. (See email just sent.) Smag on!
ReplyDeleteCan we do custom Challenges?
ReplyDeleteYeah, let me know what your challenge is and I'll add it to the form. This way I have a little bit of censor power so things don't get too out of hand ;-)
DeleteJorts challenges = pure genius! Frank for the win!
ReplyDeleteClarification on the Jorts Challenge... "Per photo in front of "Welcome to _____ State" sign wearing only Jorts (no shirt, no service)."
DeleteMust be a different state each photo.
I think you mean "No shirt, yes service." Or do you want him to be wearing a shirt?
DeleteYou are right. My mistake there.
DeleteWhere are all the other challengers!?
ReplyDeleteMy Jorts Challenge is 1 cent per mile, not zero!
ReplyDeleteHah, corrected. Does that mean the challenge is for every mile I ride in Jorts? Could be a little rough but I'll see what I can do!
DeleteYeah, no pain, no pay!
DeleteBack in the day before lycra -- yes, there WAS such a day! -- I rode from New York City to Marin, rockin' jorts every mile of the way. I used a Brooks saddle, too. I will feel your pain.
Yes!!!! More people on board for the jorts!!!
Deleteso both of my challenges are $0.25 for each, dunno why that didn't show up! And actually can I change that first one to "per child that you make cry when they see your chin pubes/beard when it finally grows out"...and by child I mean from 0-7 yrs old approximately.
ReplyDeleteOh please you cheap ass! How many times do you think either will happen? A couple? A few? I corrected it but feel free to up the ante :-)
DeleteFINE geeeeez. I had more hope for both but fair enough. Make it 3 bucks each..happy?
Delete"Per photo in front of "Welcome to _____ State" sign wearing only Jorts (no shirt for service)."
ReplyDeleteSo far I haven't seen any photos conforming to the "no shirt for service" part of the challenge...
